Here are some interesting finds on UI/UX of the past week!

1.

Leveraging Data to Shape Product Strategy. This article from the Adobe Design blog and author Jane Hext is a statement focused on how data stemming from Research can effectively be harnessed to inform Product Vison and Strategy. In essence, it’s a topic that has been covered by many other articles, and while this article in particular doesn’t necessarily volunteer any details on a case study, it does serve as a healthy reminder of how research can and should be a powerful input when crafting a product narrative. Highlight of the article includes:

“Once the research ends for large studies, you’re faced with the challenge of culling through it, not only to determine which parts of it are important, but also which parts will be actionable. Finding deep meaning in data requires gaining enough clarity to make recommendations that the business can tackle. For an insight to be actionable, it must be prescriptive enough for the team to implement the required change.”

2.

Leveraging Session Replays. Hailing from the Pendo blog, this article from Kruti Carsane focuses on a powerful feature that many analytics tools showcase: Session Replays. This feature allows for the users of analytics tools to better understand what users actually click through on their journey of utilization of a digital solution. Its insights allow for a better understanding of frustration points, as well as friction, or even more dramatically, where dropoffs of utilization occur. The article sheds some light on what this feature can enable from a storytelling perspective. Highlight of the article includes:

“Session replay is more than just a visual recreation of your user journey. It’s a comprehensive solution that captures user interactions — like clicks, hovers, scrolls — and reconstructs them into a visual narrative of how users navigate an application. It’s your window into how users interact with your app when they’re trying to accomplish tasks.”

This interesting article from Ali Henriques for the Qualtrics Blog, is a healthy reminder of how AI is making strides across various aspects of the business world, including Market Research. The article mentions these core aspects of fundamental importance for researchers: accuracy and actionable insights, speed and efficiency, and balancing innovation with human connection. Well worth reading through. Highlight of the article includes:

“The current landscape of market research is inevitably defined by the rapid technological advancements taking place within it, with AI taking center stage. As businesses face increasing pressure to deliver faster, more impactful insights, AI-powered tools are being adopted at an unprecedented pace.
