Much like any trend that surfaces, be it in tools, concepts and even media figures, as they become popular, so does become the backlash and the voices aiming to discredit or destroy what has been built up. Design Thinking, much like any discipline, is a theory that at its core aims to solve issues through a method. How teams, organizations and designers apply it, it’s ultimately up to them. In my years of working in the Design field, Design Thinking has been a catalyst to unify efforts from different teams, stakeholders, all aiming to provide solutions that are effective on multiple levels. If anything, that makes it a testament to a theory that engages people and challenges antiquated and sometimes obsolete product solution processes.
